Fascia Book
Yes, it is a buzz-word. But interesting.

One of the interviews conducted for my dissertation actually led to a job for me, where I will have to write a chapter in a book on fascia in osteopathy. The editors have been in touch with me and a first draft is due at the end of this month.
The title is probably going to be 'Tensegrity in the context of the myofascial network (and its relevance to osteopathic practice)'. the chapter will be based on my dissertation, but whereas the publication of the dissertation will be very scientifically strict, the chapter can be a little more creative. What that means? The dissertation has led to a model which shows how manual therapists make use of the tensegrity model in practice. This model describes and explains. In the chapter I can start to expand upon that, make suggestions as to how I think the tensegrity model can be useful, both in practice and in education.
An actual full draft is not due until October, so that it probably won't feature in this blog any more.
The following is a little pre-view of what I am intending to propose. First, the model of the dissertation. And second, my developed version of it, trying to integrate it into an osteopathic syllabus, really.
